Ingredients: Gluten Free, Vegan Friendly. What I have to say about it...
The Good
- Very lengthening;
- Contains wholesome ingredients;
- Doesn't smudge;
- Doesn't flake,
- Can be very natural-looking with a light-handed application;
- Doesn't tend to clumping (as long as you scrape off the excess from the brush before application);
- Separates the lashes;
- Leaves the lashes very soft;
- Applies very easily and smoothly;
- Is very easily removed with almond or castor oil.
The Bad
- Doesn't add a huge amount of volume;
- clumps if you don't scrape off the excess OR do more than two light coats;
- Doesn't hold curl as well as it could over the course of the day (though maybe my expectations are just too high, since so mascara holds a curl the way I'd like them too!).
RATING: 4.7/5
How does it compare to Too Faced Better Than Sex and Pacifica Aquarian Gaze?
Final thoughts: I LOVED the Pacifica Aquarian Gaze mascara, giving it a 4.5 out of 5 in my review. The Lily Lolo mascara is VERY similar to the Pacifica mascara, but with a little more length and volume. They both have a more natural look than the Better Than Sex mascara, but the Lily Lolo mascara adds a bit more oomph than Pacifica. I also find it a little easier to remove (and therefore easier on my lashes) than both of the other mascaras. For this reason, the Lily Lolo mascara is my favourite of all the vegan mascaras I've tried! I didn't want to give it a perfect 5/5, since I'm hoping to find a mascara that holds a curl the way I dream of, but I will DEFINITELY be repurchasing this mascara and highly recommend it!

It's that time of year again! What can you buy for the eco-conscious vegan minimalist in your life? Try one of these eight gifts that tick all of the boxes!
EVEN MORE GIFT IDEAS...
None of these quite your style? No sweat! Here are more gift options for the sustainable minimalist vegan in your life:
- An experience. Minimalism is all about reducing clutter and consumerism to make way for experiences and living. Giving someone you love an experience [ a day at the museum, a plane or train ticket to a place they've always wanted to visit, a concert ] is a way to show them how much you love them without adding more stuff to their life - just value.
- Food. Believe me, nothing will make your vegan family or friend more excited than handmade vegan goodies! Do a quick google search online for "vegan ___ recipe" and get cooking. I guarantee you'll put a smile on their face!
- Money. It's an oldie, but a goodie. Money can always come in handy. Knick knacks? Not so much.
- Necessities. Need winter boots that keep your feet warm? How about a hat, free from wool, leather, or fur? Buying someone what they need, rather than what they want, can be the most thoughtful gift of all.
- Donate in their name. Are they passionate about a particular cause? Ask them what organization they would like to support, and donate in their name.
- Time. Make a commitment to talk on the phone once a week, or go on a biweekly coffee date. Give them the gift of your time. It's a valuable commodity that will strengthen your relationship exponentially!
What are your favourite gifts to give and receive? Let me know in the comments!
