How To Paint A Moon with Tombow Dual Brush Pens
Hi friends! We have finally arrived at part 3 of our moon series, the Tombow Dual Brush Pen Moon Tutorial!
Why did I make this tutorial? Well, I did a moon theme for my July Bullet Journal - you can see the video here:
And I had quite a few questions about how I painted all of the watercolour moons from people who wanted to see a more detailed process. This is how my "How To Paint a Watercolour Moon" video came to be, which you can watch here:
As a disclaimer, I am a beginner when it comes to watercolour. The moon I paint in this video is actually the first thing I ever painted using watercolours! But you lovely humans asked for it, so here it is!
I was also asked to make a version using Tombow Brush Pens, so here it is!
To create this moon I used:
- Tombow Dual Brush Pen in 977
-Tombow Dual Brush Pen in 990
- Curry's Round Synthetic Hair Brush Size 5 (similar larger round brush: https://amzn.to/2Ka8sIY )
- Curry's Round Synthetic Hair Brush Size 1 (similar fine detail brush: https://amzn.to/2KbSXQP )
- Strathmore Watercolour Paper Pad: https://amzn.to/2lp9MwK
I hope you enjoy this little how to paint moons using Tombows tutorial!

Ok, that's it!
Until next time,
