What Tarte has to say about its Tarteist Mascara...
'Jet-black lengthening mascara for 2700% more lash volume.
Product performance: Paint on dramatic lashes powered by good-for-you ingredients with this vegan natural artistry™ mascara. Infused with triple-black painted mineral pigments that strengthen and condition lashes while delivering bold black definition, you’ll get flirty length and volume without any icky, bad ingredients. The patented mascara wand features molded, multi-length bristles that grab-and-lock onto even the tiniest lashes, saturating them in 360° root-to-tip pigment. In a simple stroke, you can sculpt, separate and curl your lashes without any messy flaking or clumping.' - tartecosmetics.com
Cost: $33 CAD

What I have to say about it...
The Good
- Crazy lengthening with the very first coat;
- Adds a good amount of volume;
- Holds curl well throughout the day;
- Doesn't smudge;
- Doesn't flake,
- Can easily replace natural false lashes with two or three coats;
- Doesn't tend to clump;
- Separates the lashes;
- Leaves the lashes very soft;
- Applies very easily and smoothly;
- Is very easily removed with oil (like castor or almond).
The Bad
- None. This mascara is awesome!
How does it compare to Too Faced Better Than Sex, Pacifica Aquarian Gaze, and Lily Lolo's Creamy Lash Alert Pure Natural Vegan Mascara?
Final thoughts: This mascara is like the Pacifica Aquarian Gaze and Lily Lolo mascara had a super baby. This mascara is even easier to remove than Lily Lolo AND gives more length and volume! The biggest bonus? It holds the curl in my lashes basically all day! I am mildly obsessed with this mascara and had to give it a perfect 5/5. Highly recommend!
RATING: 5/5

Are Pets Vegan?
Recently I have been receiving a lot of questions about pets. Should vegans have them? Should anyone own anyone else, human or not? Are you a hypocrite if you have pets but also fight for animal liberation?
I may be slightly biased as someone who shares my home with two wonderful adopted cats, but I'm going to jump into this question all the same.
